ABOUT ME

Personal Confession

If you do not know my story and why I became a Mindset coach and WHY I personally want to help YOU, here is a shortened version!!!

Growing up in a time without internet and video games, I would run the streets with all the neighborhood kids. I did skate boarding, freestyle bike riding, and martial arts as my hobbies.

When I was doing martial arts, on occasions I had my head rocked. Back then it was known as being punch drunk and you just walked it off. Once the wobble was gone you would go back for more. That was mostly ego driven.

Then I joined the military and loved it up to the day of my accident. I fell from the top of a ladder and fell about twenty feet. I do not remember anything from that point on for multiple days. After that incident, my life changed. Started noticing the compulsions, everything had to be in its place and needed to be exactly right to the point of measuring them for proper distance. Along with that came the checking as well. I had to make sure all windows and doors locked, and all appliances were turned off. I could leave the house and be hours away and if a slight doubt came to mind, I would need to return home to check.

When I separated from the military and then the depression started. I enrolled in college; I was informed later I was unable to qualify for vocational rehabilitation do-to my limitations. That was a massive kick to the groin. Then finally in 2003 I was declared 100% disabled and the major depression set in. As time passed and more symptoms came forward the depression kept growing. I had no one to discuss this with. I mean seriously, who would understand? So, I kept burying deeper and deeper into depression.

Then in 2020, everyone remembers that shit sandwich of a year, my daughter had to have exploratory surgery, my youngest son was killed in a motorcycle accident, my wife was diagnosed with stage 3b breast cancer, My daughter and I had a car accident (she was driving) not our fault, and 2 days later my mother died from surgery complications. That wraps up my 2020.

In the start of 2021, my wife has a conversation with me about the past year and my absolute void of emotions towards any of it. My wife told me, “You have a serious fucking disconnect and you need to get it checked out!” So, I did just that. The next day I called the VA hospital and started getting this figured out.

After an extensive look over my past injuries, blood work, STD screenings, more blood work, CT-scans, MRI, MRI-dti, MRI-swi, neuroquant, eye exam, hearing, the doctors gave their diagnosis, Probable CTE with a history of multiple TBI. When I realized I just received a diagnosis that I will die from this. That lit the fires and sent me on the journey of how to halt or prolong the symptoms while providing me a quality of life. So now I am sharing what I have learned along the way.
